Overlay Edit Multicolor 3D Elements

Inspired by the visuals seen in the Inflex by Au5 music video, these FREE video editing overlays can be used to create custom effects for VJs, music videos, films and anything in-between! To use these backgrounds, simply import the MP4 files into your project, then drag and drop the desired layer into your composition and set the blending mode to 'add' or 'screen' if you would like to remove the black background. Do no use the color key and key cleaner tool as this doesn't leave a clean transparent background.

Really?!

Once you've added the overlay edit background file to your composition, you can change the colour of the elements as well as other visual properties by adding effects to the layer. You can adjust the hue to change it's colour via the 'hue, saturation and lightness' effect found in the AE effect panel.

You should also add filters or LUTs your overlay layers. To do so, search for 'LUT" in the effects panel and drag and drop the LUT effect onto your layer.
Select the type of LUT you'd like to import and further adjust the settings as desired.

If you want to keep the viewer's focus on the main subject of your video, adjust the opacity or key parts of the overlay to decrease the visibility. This will help to enhance the viewer's attention on other foreground elements in your scene (if 3D).
