How To Make A Slideshow In Premiere Pro
Enough with the pre-made templates. If you ever want (or need) to create a sideshow from scratch for whatever reason, here's how you do it.
Setting Up Premiere Pro: Before we get started with our slideshow, we need to tweak some settings. Go to the top menu bar and select File -> Preferences -> Timeline. Here, you'll see two important options:
Video Transition Default Duration: This controls how quick or slow the transition between each image will be. For a smooth slideshow, I suggest setting it to .50, which means each transition will last half a second.
Still Image Default Duration: This sets how long each image will stay on screen before moving on to the next. Let's set it to 2.00, meaning each image will stay for 2 seconds.
Importing Your Images: Now it's time to bring in the photos you want in your slideshow. Go to the Project panel, then click on Import. Navigate to the folder where your photos are saved, select all the images you want to include (you can select multiple images by clicking on the first image, holding the Shift key, and then clicking on the last image), and click Import.
Creating a Sequence: Now, let's set up our workspace. Go to File -> New -> Sequence. You want your slideshow to be high quality, so set the resolution to 1920×1080, which is known as 1080p or Full HD.
Adding Images to the Timeline: Once your sequence is created, it's time to add your images. Select all your images in the Project panel (click the first image, hold Shift, then click the last image), then drag them over to your Timeline.
